YOUTH MINISTRY
Young people grow up in an ever more complex world, facing an often-confusing array of choices and issues as they progress towards adulthood. This makes Christian youth work an increasingly sophisticated ministry in which to be involved in the contemporary world.
Youth Work At HTT
Our youth learn how to handle every issues of life based upon the word of God.
Our youth learn the importance of seeking a closer and more intimate relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Our youth learn integrity and maximize their education, and God's given gifts by working towards a character of excellence.
Faith Builder at HTT
We use Group builder Games and Activities at HTT to build Youth Faith. This game is divided into five sections, each designed to meet different needs within each group:
The Relationship Builders section encourages teenagers to get to know each other better and begin lasting relationships with each other. The games focus on both group and one-on-one relationships. Teenagers often have a difficult time trusting each other.
The Trust Builders section provides many different exercises to help teenagers open themselves up and trust one another more.
The Unity Builders section helps the group become a more cohesive unit through shared experiences; Teenagers will work together and rely on each other in these games.
The games in the Confidence Builders section build up individuals and encourage them to build up each other. These games will help teenagers gain personal and social confidence within the group.
Finally, the games in the Faith Builders section help teenagers grow their faith and their relationship with Jesus.
Children Department
Children are the heritage of God Psalm 127, they become adult of tomorrow so it is paramount to take adequate care of them in order to guide them against waywardness and against irrational behaviour. The church assigned teachers that take care and monitor them. The have access and freedom to ask anything that bothers their mind from their teachers. Our pastor makes himself available regularly to pray with them and attend to their spiritual need.
The church organizes seminars for children at interval and take them out to places of interest for picnic, excursion and recreation. We organize bible quiz and debate with prizes to serve as encouragement to whoever wins the competition. We celebrate children day often in the church where series of games and activities were performed.
Our children receive biblical teaching on morality, respect obedience to the commandment of God. They should therefore be taught and encouraged to pray on their own.
Nursery
We aim to teach the children about the Lord through a variety of mediums from the Bible to games/pictures/videos and games.
At the end of each month we acknowledge all the birthdays for that month and if parents want to bring refreshments on that day they can do so and help organize a party.
Children in Crisis
One of the challenges of children’s ministry today is the sheer scale of the need - 17 million children die each year from starvation or malnutrition, 10 million works in the sex industry, 200 million are child laborers, and on and on.
Ministering among children in crisis situations is incredibly demanding. It requires people who can work in teams, often cross-culturally, with children’s families and in their communities. And it needs people who know how to steward their emotional resources.
At Holy Trinity Tabernacle we seek to develop these skills and to multiply Christian children’s workers to be light and love among hurting children.
